On the 3rd of
September Captain Howdy will be performing at the opening of the new Ripley's
believe it or not museum in London.
this event will include a
10 minute show by Captain Howdy and Preacher, and 2 - 3 hours of lying on a bed
of swords with all of the v.i.p's walking over him.
Should be fun!!

Prague Tattoo
Convention 16-18.05.08
What
to say about Prague?? The locals are very friendly even if their English is not
the best, the weather is great in the spring and summer and freezing in the
winter, the beer is cheaper than water and the tattoo convention ROCKED!!!
With
our script all written and ready to go, Preacher, Dr Gore and Syban flew from
Heathrow to meet Captain Howdy who was already there. 1st thing we learned - no
more using British Airways. If you are reading this - thank you for loosing some
of our luggage. AGAIN!!!
so,
with 5 hours to go before we're onstage, the whole circus crew is in the hotel
room rewriting and changing the script to go with the equipment that we still
have.
and
before you know it - it's SHOWTIME.
Preacher and Captain Howdy as the infamous Blues brothers with Syban a bored JP
who interrupts the show to do her own thing - a fan of needles. when Syban
passes out due to Preacher - Dr Gore is called onstage to make sure she is ok.
well, she won't be anymore... with brain surgery, and body slicing, Syban was
left as a zombie for life.
Preacher and Captain Howdy continued (eventually) with skewering, stapling,
glass... while all the time Dr gore is trying to join in. the show ended with a
Body Suspension by the Captain and Syban being manipulated by strings.
a
fun and interesting show with a mix of horror magic, sideshow and fakirism.
We
would like to thank the organizers of the tattoo convention for EVERYTHING. they
were a pleasure to work for and we hope there will be a next time soon.

Show at the Notting Hill Carnival 27.08.07
Today's Body Suspension show at the Notting Hill Carnival
was amazing.
Captain Howdy was suspending off a
crane while the controller moved it up and down, left and right. over the crowd
and into the crowd, over the stage and on the
stage.
you get the picture...
25 minutes later Captain Howdy was lowered to the floor to
a huge applause and released.
The audience, some 10000 people, constantly changing were
looking up the whole time with open mouths and shocked expressions.
This is the 1st time since the carnival has started some
50 years ago that anyone has Suspended and CAPTAIN HOWDY was the 1st!!!!
The show took place at the Gotham City stage on Talbut st.
and Powis sq, the busiest stage every year at the Notting Hill Carnival.
This year over 2million people enjoyed themselves at this
carnival and hopefully quite a few enjoyed our little show.

ISRAEL 18.08.07
Last nights show at the
FORUM club in Be'er Sheva has to have been one of my weirdest experiences and
not in a bad way at all.
I was asked to perform a week before the show, and being in Israel by myself,
I had to find a circus crew.
So...
Luckily I know a few people in Israel and got a team together including Syban -
a performer who lives in the U.K and happened to be in Israel at the time.
And off we all went. Myself, Syban, Emily, Yaniv and Asi
We put on 4 short shows. The first was a play piercing show involving me and
Syban.
She looked beautiful with feathers pierced into her arms and chest, and me on my
knees passing her the feathers. VERY SEXY!!
The next show was the body suspension. This was on the main stage. The DJ
introduced us and warned the entire crowd that this is real. Asi Pierced my back
and I jumped into the crowd after skewering my stomach. Was a lot of fun.
The 3rd show was me doing a glass routine with Syban standing on me and then
Yaniv placing a watermelon on my stomach and cutting it in half with a
VERY sharp sword.
The 4th and final show was the human dart board and the ladder of swords.
The crowd loved coming up on the stage and throwing darts into my back. Their
aim was pretty bad though and I got most of the darts in my arms and only one
balloon got hit
but all in all was a great time.
I would like to thank all of the above who put in their heart and soul to help
me make
this an evening to remember. The Israeli's at the club didn't know what hit
them!!!
I would also like to thank all of the staff at the FORUM club who were
constantly by our side, making sure the crowd didn’t get too close and that we
didn't get sober!! CHEERS GUYS!! Can't wait to come back..

Glastonbury Update
2007/06/26 19:12 Captain
Howdys Flying Circus just got back from performing 8 shows
at the glastonbury festival.
We had a FANTASTIC time!!
We were booked to go on the Pirate Ship at Trash city.
The first night Preacher, Captain Howdy, Pierre, Zombia and Apokalexie started
off with
a live version of the HANGMAN game where every time a letter was not
correct Captain Howdy had to step nearer to the noose on broken glass and climb
a ladder of swords, from which he eventually hung from.The 2nd show of that
night we performed our Hotter than Hell show involving A back pull by Quentin
and Captain Howdy, Play piercing by Alice of the dead, Skewering by Captain
Howdy, Block head by Preacher and Captain Howdy, Fire by Quentin and Preacher
and to top it off a double suspension with Alice of the dead suspending off of
Captain Howdy while suspended from a serious hight.
The next day - another 2 shows. the 1st show was the Kalima Heaven and Hell
show,
written by Quentin and Ami. Benwah and Preacher acted out the bouncers while Ami
looked drop dead gorgeous in white. Quentin did a number of stapling, play
piercings (including through the palm of his hand) and a back pull involving a
hammock on which ami was lying on. this show involves a hilarious dance scene in
red and gold underwear! if you have not seen this show before - you are missing
out!! The 2nd show was a 10 in 1 with Pierre as the Barker and with Captain
Howdy, Preacher and Alice of the dead doing a variety of stunts including fire,
play piercing, glass, swords and balancing a lawnmower. it was FUN!!
The 3rd day we started off with our Blues Brothers show which involves Preacher
outdoing Captain Howdy in all stunts. again with the glass, ladder of swords,
eating light bulbs, fire eating and breathing, lawnmower balancing, keg lifting
and Captain Howdy bursting out laughing when Preacher revealed a superman symbol
on his chest. UNBELIEVABLY funny. The next show of the day was the Hotter than
Hell again with Preacher fire breathing while Captain Howdy was Suspending.
Suspending through flames was quite the experience. We can't wait to do that
again.
So.. Now we headed off to the Chapel at Lost Vagueness where Captain Howdy was
to do yet another show. This time we did a human strait jacket where Captain
Howdy was handcuffed into his own skin, put in a sack and lifted up. he had the
length of 1 song to get out (we chose THE FINAL COUNTDOWN). For this song we had
the beautiful Apokolexie on the pole dance. The song ended, the bag was cut down
and lo and behold - Captain Howdy was free of the cuffs, Suspended from his back
completely naked apart from a huge strap on, having a wank to a playboy
magazine. it was FUNNY as hell.
The next day however, the weather was terrible and the stage got canceled.
Captain Howdy went to the big top tent and managed to get us one show there
where we did the Heaven and Hell show again.
like i said - we had a FANTASTIC time!!

well i'm
back (Captain Howdy) with some more news. i was in israel again for a wedding
and a show. the show was fun. loads of publicity on the radio, tv and internet.
not gonna post the links as none are in english but when i get the video made
there i will post that. so. i flew back to england in an alcoholic state after
my brothers wedding and had to go straight to the download festival where me and
preacher were performing. i read the script on the van drive over and with no
time to practice - we went on. our show was a huge success! i think this time it
was down to luck as well. we were lucky that we were one of the 1st acts on.
everything we did (broken glass, drill in the nose, concrete smash, eating
glass, etc..) we did 1st so after us there was not the same response to the
other acts. like i said - bit of luck and i hope a bit of talent got us through
that one. so now we are preparing for glasstonbury where Captain Howdys Flying
Circus is performing twice a day for 4 days (3 times on sat). hope to see some
of you there. catch u soon.

May 8th BAR MONSTA
REHEARSAL
2007/05/11 19:32 Our live
rehearsal show at Bar Monsta was a lot of laughs. we had a decent crowd and
every1 had a good time. With Preacher erupting into sparks and blowing fire
balls that scorched the ceiling. Alice of the dead piercing her cheeks and
suspending off me. Benwah talking too much and had to have his lips pierced
together & Zombia cherry the puppet girl. We climbed ladders of swords, lay on
bed of nails and i had the owner of the club stand on me whilest lying on glass.
at the end of the show i decided to try a new stunt that i have wanted to do for
a while now. the music got turned off, the crowd was told to move to the back of
the club and not to panic if anything goes wrong. with benwah stretching my skin
away from any internal organs, preacher aimed an 80pound crossbow at me and
FIRED! you would have heard a feather drop in the room it was so quiet. 80pounds
of pressure pushed this bolt through my side and it only stopped when it got
stuck in a 2by4 behind me. was not easy getting it out of there. the crowd went
wild and me and my circus team breathed easier as we were all a bit nervous as
well. (especially me).

Hotter than Hell
Sun 14/1/07 Damn i hurt
today. Captain Howdys headlined the Hotter than Hell rock night last night. It
was GREAT. The crowd was definatly the best crowd yet. When I called for a
volunteer I had to actually shake off half the crowd. If any of you guys are
reading this - THANKS! U ROCK!! The gist of the show was the norm. Play
piercings, Suspensions, Stapling, Skewering, Human cork screw and after the show
had ended we did a human dart board with the crowd throwing the darts into my
back. I think the winner got a bottle of Jack. Needless to say my back looks
like a sieve today what with 4 hooks and god knows how many darts. Nothing
Shocking acted the clown and surprised the hell out of me. Alice of the dead
played our onstage nurse and stayed in the background. WOW was the crowd
surprised that all of a sudden while I was suspending she hooked up from a 2
point suicide to my lower back. They didn't know what hit them. Great shock
factor. I CAN'T WAIT FOR THE NEXT ONE!!! S0. BIG thanks to Nothing Shocking,
Alice of the Dead and Benwah for helping this show get together. and of course
thanks to Mick Priestly from Hotter than Hell. We'll be back soon. COUNT ON IT..

19/11/06 Killing Miranda,
CAPTAIN HOWDYS FLYING CIRCUS and Bordel at Bar Monsta. This time we put on a
comedy restaurant sketch involving an ignorant french waiter, a sex-machine
guitarist and Captain Howdy and his Beautiful date. Pure Comedy!! Fire and Glass
eating. Glass walking. Stapling. Heavy Metal... What more could you ask for. Big
thanks to Benwah, Alice of the dead and Niro for helping with this gig. We'd
like to thank Mick from Bar Monsta and of course the crowd. CHEERS GUYS. can't
wait to be there again.

Texas Chainsaw Blood
Ball
29/10/06 Captain Howdy's
Flying Circus had a FANTASTIC weekend. Our friday night show (which involved a
Crucifixion, Live hanging and Suicide was one of the most extreme shows we have
done) for the Texas Chainsaw Blood Ball was awesome. the feedback we have
recieved from all of you is great. Our sat night show at the Big Red pub in
Holloway rd had the effect we wanted - laughter. I would like to thank everyone
at the Texas Chainsaw for letting us perform and Natasha from the Big Red also.
Thank you also to my very talented circus team (Nothing Shocking, Preacher,
Zombia Cherry, Benwah, Alice & the rest of you) for helping to make this happen.
and last but not least - A very big THANK YOU to all of you that came and
enjoyed those night's with us. We will be performing again very soon and I hope

Secret Garden Festival
18-20/9/06 Captain Howdys
Flying Circus were invited to perform on all 3 days of this event. We headlined
the Up All Night tent on the 1st and 2nd night. Unfortunatly the 3rd night was
cancelled by the local police. (too loud or some other crap). We had some staff
problems with this event as 3 of the then members pulled out at the last moment
but true to form Captain Howdy and Nothing Shocking put on some great shows. The
festival itself was cool with loads of bands on 3 stages and a great atmosphere.
Thanks to Greg for the pictures. Thanks to Phil for getting us the invite and a
HUGE thanks to Nothing Shocking who without him I don't think this gig would
have been nearly as good.

Christmas Rock Explosion
22/12/05 At this gig we
Captain Howdy and Nothing Shocking gave a 20 min freak show involving glass,
play piercing, Block head and sideshow. We left the stage to a great MORE MORE..
When the main event "Nothing to Lose" came on, Captain Howdy came back on stage
and suspended during one of the songs. It was a fantastic gig and one of my
favorites. Big thanks to Nothing to Lose.

Dungeon
24/11/05 And we're back in
the Holy land for the Dungeon's 3rd birthday party. This time we decided to add
some sideshow to the event. Glass and Fire, Play piercing and Suspension,
Swallowing a ribbon and then cutting into the stomach and removing it (DON'T TRY
THIS AT HOME), Block head and Mental flossing and more... The crowd enjoyed
themselves so much that the day before I flew back to England, I put together a
mini suscon and suspended 6 Israeli's - all who were at the show and kept
bugging me to try. Glad you guy's enjoyed the show and I hope you wear the
suspension scars with pride. Big thank you to Amos for arranging the gig.
Hopefully there will be a next time soon.

VICE Fetish dance party
15/10/05. Captain Howdy's
performes a suspension show at the vice club in brighton. The club was so packed
that we had to be carefull not to swing into the crowd. all in all we had a
great time and as usuall the crowd rocked. Thanks to Quentin and Nothing
Shocking for helping with this one.

Dungeon
10/2/05 Well... This was
unexpected. The Dungeon - A S&M and fetish club in ISRAEL got in touch with us
and asked for a show. So off Captain Howdy went to the holy land and put on a
suspension show for the 1st ever show of that kind. Roey Pentagram - A tattooist
and Body Piercer from Tel-Aviv helped Captain Howdy with the piercings and up,
UP & AWAY!! The suspension lasted only half an hour, but what a crazy half an
hour it was.. You Israeli's know how to PARTY.
